Maui on the med!

After 5 months of chemotherapy, Maui, our now 2-year-old mascot, is finally starting to be weaned off her meds!
Diagnosed with granulomatous meningo-encephalo-myelitis (GME), we can now consider her in remission. Although she has lost most of her spunk, muscle mass as well as most of her hair, and gained weight (mostly an adorable pot-belly!), she has not suffered any pain or other side-effects during her therapy! All of these are expected to improve greatly as the drugs that saved her life are reduced.
If no relapse occurs, we can hope she is cured! Let’s all wish Maui our best!
